BIOROCK Sewage Treatment Plant Range
BIOROCK Sewage Treatment Tanks Range
BIOROCK sewage treatment tanks come in a range of sizes up to 15 persons. Larger systems are modular - a 30 person would use 2 x BIOROCK 15 person plants.

Conder settlement tank
Conder settlement tanks are used for the BIOROCK system
Larger sewage treatment tank requirements are met by either bolting the tanks together in series or by de-centralising the sewage works into smaller sections, eg. a sewage system for 9 x 3 bed. houses can be met by three x 15 person sewage treatment tanks.
The problem with centralised sewage systems is 'the bigger the unit, the greater the pollution and problems when they malfunction'. By decentralising the sewage treatment, the possibility of major pollution and prohibition notices, fines, etc is completely avoided.
When one considers that over 60% of the cost of centralised sewage systems is concerned with the massive amount of pipe-work involved in transporting the sewage to the centralised plant, it makes perfect sense to de-centralise sewage treatment.
NATURE DOES NOT CENTRALISE SEWAGE TREATMENT.
When animals graze, the sewage is distributed over a wide area, allowing maximum exposure to the organisms responsible for treating it. The problems start when man centralises it in slurry stores and manure heaps which cause enormous problems for the environment. We do the same with our own sewage and multipy the problem.
NATURE DOES NOT USE ELECTRICITY FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT
Large sewage treatment works use massive amounts of electricity and are not sustainable. Over 10 billion litres of sewage are produced in England and Wales every day. It takes 6.34 gigawatt hours of energy to treat this volume of sewage, almost 1% of the total daily electricity consumption. This is madness.
The BIOROCK sewage treatment plant uses NONE
The DEWATS philosophy is being embraced all over the world - apart fom the UK. Search Google and see.
Centralised sewage works are the Number One cause of river pollution
"Just as more and more people are now working from home, with a resulting low carbon footprint, I believe the BIOROCK non-electric sewage treatment plant will make centralized, non-sustainable municipal sewage works a museum piece."
